But but but what if in a year or so they go for 80% off!

Actually IDK, I know nothing about the game, when it came out, how big it is, etc, :monster:

edit: OK FINE GEEZ. Also bought Enslaved, same price. I would've preferred a console version for both though.

It's not like we made you buy anything. :P

Cities: Skylines is 33% off for the next 24 hours or so, I'm grabbing it. I've already picked up Valkyria Chronicles and Papers, Please, both from my wishlist.

The game Transistor is on sale for $5 USD for the next 12 hours. I highly recommend it, and not just because the art and music are gorgeous, but because the story is great and the combat system is fun to play around with.

Skylines is a valid game, maybe I'll start it again.

I grabbed Prison Architect or whatever it's called and have been playing all day yesterday. It's quite addictive, :awesome:

I've been tempted by Skylines but not sure whether to get it or not.

I bought Prison Architect in the last sale, but haven't gotten around to playing it properly yet.

I'm really tempted to buy VII and VIII but I already own original PC 98/99 retail copies of the games. It's just that steam makes it so easy, what with the digital and the "play" and there it is. If the sale continues to Thursday I'll probably dip in.

Well, I bought my first early access game as well, Mini Metro. It's great fun and I think I'm going to buy it for my dad when I'm in England because he loves the Tube map as much as I do.

The Steam sale is coming to an end. It's now at the "Encore" phase, where lots of the most popular daily deals return. I'm pretty sure I'm done shopping now. Here's what I picked up:

Cities: Skylines
Castle Crashers
Papers, Please
Valkyria Chronicles
Broken Sword 4 and 5
Mini Metro
Banished
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light

I also grabbed Theme Hospital, Prince of Persia (2008) and the free copy of SimCity 2KSE from GOG, whose sale is just about to end as well.

I went a bit crazy with the Steam sale and ended up buying 6 games:

Child of Light
BattleBlock Theater (Ultra Baby's Co-op Chaos Pack)
Ori and the Blind Forest
The Stanley Parable
Tomb Raider I and II

On top of the games I also bought Sony Movie Studio 13 Platinum and soundtracks to Ori and the Blind Forest and To the Moon.

I'm still thinking of maybe buying a few games like FFIV bundle, Papers, Please, Don't Starve and the first episode of Life is Strange. I was almost going to buy Civ IV before I decided that I don't need it right now. Also was quite tempted to buy pretty much every Tomb Raider game before I started to think that I might prefere playing them on Playstation rather than on PC, so I ended up buying just the first too and decided to try them first before buying them all.

Steam sales are the devil when you're supposed to be saving money. Luckily it's safe to say that at least some games are going to be on sale again in 6 months time so it's not the end of the world if I don't buy them this time. :wacky:

Just bought the first BioShock for £3.29 on the PS Store, it's gone down from £11.99 until 25th June. I have the second and Infinite free from PS Plus, so thought it'd make sense to get the first and get a playthrough done. If it goes free for PS Plus in the near future, I'll be a bit pissed.

Bought Castlevania: Harmony of Despair for €4.50 on PSN, and picked up some of the DLC characters and maps too.

It seems pretty fun so far, in a bare bones old school Castlevania way.

Zeus: Master of Olympus is one of my all-time favourite games, and it's currently on sale, along with its expansion pack Poseidon: Master of Atlantis for just $3.33 on GOG. I can't recommend it highly enough for anyone who fits two of these three descriptions:

(a) You enjoy city-building games,
(b) You have an interest in Greek mythology,
(c) You have a sense of humour.

I might even buy it again because installing it from disc is a bit of a hassle nowadays (it was originally for Windows 98/2K), and because I haven't played the expansion before.

Great! I recommend either switching to windowed mode in the display options or downloading a widescreen fix here. It makes the menu screens look a bit odd but the game itself runs really well. Extract the archive (e.g. with 7-zip), open the folder for your screen resolution and copy Zeus.exe and the DATA folder into your Zeus installation directory. Rename the original Zeus.exe to something else in case you need it later. You can merge and replace the DATA folder.

I'm torn over Assassin's Creed. I've heard the first game wasn't very good, but that the second was amazing. Is it worth playing through the first, or would it be enough to watch a playthrough on Youtube, what do you (people who have played it) think? And would I have to put up with that Uplay bullshit for the first two games, or did that come later?

The first AC game pales in comparison to the second, but I wouldn't call it a bad game.
