If anything, the book was better than the Da Vinci code. Note that I haven't seen the movified version of that. Also, the premiere of that movie broke records (A&D), :monster:.

That's true and I read them by their intended order, meaning A&D first. I was actually a bit disappointed after finishing The DaVinci Code.

If you liked the book, you're gonna love the movie. I watched it with a friend on Thursday and I already have another "victim" to go watch it with me again.

Fantastic.

Haven't seen the other two tho.

I liked both of them, a lot. La Chinoise, while speaking about Mao, Chinese Revolution and Socialism, a group of French student's planned to do terrorism. Visually, I definitely got strike in nearly every scene while we follow the history narrated by Roy, concerning The Fall.

I'd say give a shot at both of them when you got the time.

Angels and Demons. I definitely recommend, it's a great movie.
And see, I have to disagree. It was OK, but definitely not something I'd buy. Might rent it, but that's where I draw the line.

Then again, I never read the book or read/saw TDVC, either, so maybe that's why.

Star Trek, the newest film by J. J. Abrams. It's been pretty much universally acclaimed to be near perfect. I thought that the rendition of the characters were spot-on, particularly Spock. Zachary Quinto's protrayal of that near emotionless half-Vulcan, half-Human was just phenomenal. Chris Pine's Kirk was reminiscent of a cowboy--very daring, very suave, and very composed and intelligent.

Spoiler alert! Don't read this if you don't want to be spoiled (unless you saw the movie already).

Uhura and Spock's were amazing! Man, I never thought that Spock/Uhura would be so hot as a couple. But there were certain scenes from the original 1970 series that really showed how canonical that couple might've been. The lyre scene between Spock and Uhura for instance . . . in fact, there was this rumor that Roddenberry wanted Spock to be with Uhura but due to racial tensions and whatnot the network replaced that with the infamous Kirk/Uhura kiss scene.

They only kissed due to being telepathically forced to, they didn't even really kiss according to Shatner but Nichols insisted they did. Eh, who knows.

But yeah Uhura and Spock were a couple from the get-go in this movie. It was set in an alternate timeline so . . . yeah they knew each other. Uhura was just so tender and Spock only allowed himself to be vulnerable with her. There was fantastic acting by the two. They had chemistry, they were cute, and Uhura was definitely the canvas for Spock's emotions.

I'll definitely buy this one.

I'm gonna watch the new fast&furious tomorrow. Any opinions on this one?

Diamond Dust...
^ You know what? Neither did I at first, but for a really stupid reason.

When he first appeared in Angels and Demons, I thought "I know that voice... and he looks familiar" and I thought it was James Arnold Taylor (voice of Tidus, FFX). But then I thought about which role JAT would be playing when he puts on that voice, and it dawned on me - Star Wars: Clone Wars.

The voice he does for Star Wars: Clone Wars? OBI-WAN KENOBI.
The actor who plays Obi-Wan in Star Wars I, II and III? EWAN MCGREGOR.

I'm such an idiot. XD

I'm apparently worse, I only noticed now when you mentioned him and actually had to confirm it on imdb because, at first, I didn't get why you were mentioning him.

I gonna go watch "fast and furious" tonight. Hope it's good, I've seen a lot of crappy movies these past few months...
