Ok from the green flashes which show the white materia in it. Cloud and Aerith don't fall off the temple, Cloud goes unconscious. Aerith was picked up by Tifa not asleep. Yet Cloud was in the dream date so imagined Sephiroth cutting the vine?? The forest is also a dream though so Aerith does she need to be sleeping to go into that world. Thats never explained? Im wondering if Sephiroth was even there when Cloud and Aerith are dangling. Cause what he just leave after that and its never mentioned again and the green vision shows that Cloud and Aerith got picked up. That whole sequence is so strange in every way. I still can't tell which Sephiroth that even was?

Yeah, my mind can't comprehend any of this LMAOOO people said this was less confusing than the ending of Remake and I would just like to say that I heavily disagree bc Remake was a cake walk compared to this.

The only reason people were confused about Remake was because they didn't want to accept that Zack had escaped his fate, but that was just copium and not SE depicting anything that was actually confusing imo.

I still am playing this game so I'm wondering if playing through these scenes myself will somehow give me a better answer which is why I'm trying very hard not to judge until I have reached the end credits myself. Watching scenes is valid but the actual experience might feel different.

Also currently my favorite Aerith interactions is Cosmo Canyon quests by far.

neither can mine Everytime i rewatch the final chapters i get more confused, more pissed off by some of the choices, But mostly WONDERING WHAT IS THE POINT OF MAKING THE ENTIRE FINAL CHAPTERS SO WEIRD? The temple stuff annoys me to no end because i can't explain it. The ultimania could have helped by at least telling us Which Sephiroth is which. Since he seems to be doing a lot more wihtout a physical body than you would assume. And the black materia oh dear god so ones a key to the real one that we give to Sephiroth and then he somehow finds the real one and gives it to Cloud. Yet why does he need Cloud at that point if he can travel through the lifestream. HELP XD

2a - Cloud lands in NotAerith's dream, they spend their date and end the day at the church...
2b - ... While OurAerith explains to the group that she must go to the city of the ancients...
3 - Cloud, lost between worlds, is intercepted by Sephiroth, who tells him the game scenario (is he telling the truth?), then ends up in the forest (was this Sephiroth's choice, or was he simply following a path laid out by NotAerith?).
3a - The group arrives in the forest, separated from OurAerith, who disappears into the mist.
4 - Cloud meets OurAerith in the forest to give her the white materia. She sets off in the direction of the city, while the white whispers prevent Cloud from following her.
5 - Cloud wakes up while the team tries to find OurAerith.

im guessing thats how he found the real Black Materia by making the rainbow gateway between worlds? in which the lifestream starts getting corrupted. Where he found it though no idea

I mean in the OG, is it ever said what happens to it after Meteor is summoned? It just struck me that I can’t think of anything.

The thing is though they don't fall the vision shows that they didn't because we see Cait Sith give his apology in the temple doorway which if they fell that wouldn't have happened Tifa also doesnt seem that concerned if they fell and just checks on Aerith. Also something i don't think people mention the white materia can be seen in the middle of the visions. OH WAIT ITS A WHITE WHISPER FACE. Yeah they didn't fall the tendril is in the background of Tifa picking up Aerith.

I don't really understand your point. Nothing prove they didn't fall. I don't really understand your point. Nothing prove they didn't fall. The team (Tifa and Barret) went to retrieve them from the ground before returning to the surface where the rest of the team awaited them, the moment Caith chose after all that emotion to officially apologize to everyone before Aerith asked to leave.

The actual vision shows Cloud grabs her before they fall while they are still dangling then she lies on his arm and he goes unconscious. wait they have to have then if there is solid ground

Ok no I'm just annoyed at the lack of urgency at them falling and one person being unconscious that's weird from Tifa? Now I'm also confused on Why Sephiroth even caused them to fall then just disappeared? I don't know what it is with this series and having Cloud fall and Tifas reaction between so tame each time

Nobody can see what's happening. The black whispers tornado is blocking the view. The same ones that put Tifa out of the picture. That's why when Yuffie is talking to you in the forest, she's talking about Sephiroth kicking Cloud's butt. Aerith lied to them and didn't told them Cloud was delulu and he gave the black materia himself.

Well.. Cloud is supposed to be Captain America. So I think she's more afraid for Aerith (someone who can't take long walk in the story itself lol) and as we can see from his POV, his eyes are opened and following the scene, so I think they can see he's alive. He's just in his "mako overdose" state.

Plus Aerith is on him. So you have to take her first before watching over Cloud's body.

This reminds me of in Remake when they're in Aerith's room in the Shinra building and the whispers just start attacking Aerith and Tifa pulls her out while Cloud and Barrett just look a her like "huh, that's happening."

This happened in some points in Rebirth too where dangerous things happen and characters may not even comment.

I think sometimes the devs just forget to have characters react to scenes.

That's true though Aerith does stand up pretty quickly idk Im still annoyed at the complete lack of reaction to Cloud surviving the fall in sector 5 the Cloud I thought we lost you was all we got.
