jairus, my heart actually skipped when i saw that art. it's so beautiful, and only shows how much love she's getting, with a combined 21k likes. that's like on tifa levels. only she gets monstrous numbers like that on twitter, not even aerith fanart comes close. it'll be interesting to see if this rise of her popularity lasts like zack, or it's just for this part (but i doubt that!).

Though her role was relatively short, she has left an impression that's for sure.

If she does come back in Part 2 and is able to have a date with Cloud at the Gold Saucer, you can bet her popularity and following will literally explode. It'll make this big leap she's got going on now look like a mild bump in comparison.

but when i'm mostly interested is this gif.


when if you look closely you can see his hands raised up as if he's going to hug back - almost as if it's instinctual - but his hands ball, deciding against it. this is more likely than not him still trying to retain his cool facade and caught himself instead of trying to hug her back. in fact, i can imagine cloud's heart racing the whole conversation but his output is calm to throw it off - not only for jessie but for himself as well (we have to protect that mental barrier at all costs after all!). anyways those are my two cents.
