My bad, I usually assume that you the recording and publishing are not too far apart. Still, you could have told us you had recorded it!When did we record this one? I don't even remember. It was probably around whenever the thread was last updated, Flint.

You're right that I suggested adopting two formats, but neither of them was the one we already have. One of them, which I offered to host, was similar to it. Here's what I wrote:Wasn't it agreed that we would have two versions for our podcasts (the formal one with the new format and the one we already have)?
The other show would be a bit longer at around 60 minutes, would be open to anyone on TLS who wants to appear and would have a regular host of its own. The conversation would start off with something Final Fantasy related but would be free to take its own natural twists and turns. The show would be much more community-oriented and would highlight recent forum discussions, community events and other TLS news.
Alright, I'll have a listen later.New podcast is up. This was actually mostly a PSE reaction thread with a little bit of end of year involved.
Agreed. How do you think we should kick off the schedule? Do you (or Tres, who also put himself forward as a host for one of the formats) want to do another podcast in the middle of this month, the beginning of next month, or the beginning of next month? I can work around whatever you decide in trialling the other format.Anyways, going forward, we need to try and get a more reliable schedule for these and to announce recordings for those who want in. I do try and see if other folks besides the irregulars want in, but it can be hard when our recording schedule is both of unusual time of day and happens at effective random. I suggest we try for once a month on each and stagger them by two weeks each, under the hope we can stay to such a schedule.
Hi vader,
As you might be able to see by looking through this thread, I've been pushing for changes to the way we (a) organise and (b) structure our podcast pretty much since the beginning. As recently as January, I had high hopes for it, but they ended up falling by the wayside.
I'm delighted to see that someone else is finally stepping forward to revive it, since the podcast is not something that one person can run alone. I'm also happy to see a new member getting involved with TLS projects in such a proactive manner.
I still have some reservations about running a podcast when the rest of our projects are so stagnant - I'd almost feel a bit embarrassed to talk about all the latest Final Fantasy news on an episode of the pod if we haven't actually reported any of that news on our front page - but I'm willing to put those reservations aside to get it up and running. Maybe it'll provide a spark for our other projects; it's got to be worth a shot.
How about we have a Skype call to discuss how to proceed? Everyone should be welcome into the call to contribute their ideas, whether or not they want to appear as guests once the pod is up and running. Just name a time and date. Lots of people are usually around to Skype on Saturday evenings (European) / afternoons (American), so we could do it as soon as today if you're available.

If there's a call regarding this today feel free to add me for the purpose of being an extra ear and voice. I really feel though like there's not much I or many others can add, because it seems like Vader's got some fresh ideas and Flint you've had a very clear message about where you'd like to see the podcasts go since the beginning. Most people who have had an interest in the podcast have posted their views here.
I will sit in on the call if either of you feel it's going to add anything to your discussions, but jumping in when you both have clear ideas and I've been hands-off with the podcasts seems a bit foolish.
EDIT: As for this:
Yes, some projects are stagnant and we're going to have to address that, but try not to let that get in the way of getting other things up and running.
^All great ideas that I fully support. Full steam ahead
No they weren't on iTunes. If it's free or super cheap, I'm sure we should go for it when an actual podcast has been established.
