LOL, whats ROTS?
Tits or GTFO.Dear Drake, Ryu-tan and Vendel,
Thank you all for not being pigs.
Love,
Your favorite green-haired half-esper
Understand, my gripe isn't with Tifa so much as with the writer for not fully "getting it."
some random clerith said:The FFVII commercial showed Cloud holding Aerith in his arms, the FFVIII commercial showed Rinoa rushing into Squall's arms, the FFIX commercial showed Garnet hugging Zidane, the FFX commercial showed Yuna and Tidus caressing each other at the spring, and the FFX-2 commercials all showed Yuna and Tidus together. If all the other commercials aren't portraying lies, then why would anyone assume that the FFVII commercial is showing a lie?
I'm not saying she wouldn't trust Cloud. I'm saying she'd go with him.
Understand, my gripe isn't with Tifa so much as with the writer for not fully "getting it."
Though my true venom is reserved for George Lucas. The ending of ROTS is complete BULLSHIT. But that's a topic for another thread.
Wait what? You mean when he choked her in the cave? He let go of her before she even passed out.Anikin force choked her to death or something like that, making Sidious's lie true. 'Died of a broken heart' was the goddamn droids not getting that.
So apparently we had it all wrong. Cloud and Tifa living together and raising children. Meaningless.
What is significant? A commercial made in 1997.
LTD over folks. Aerith won.
Cloud want to live on to meet Aerith (in "Case of Tifa")
Cloud want to die to meet Aerith (in FFVII Advent Children)
Pst, dude, you're doing it wrong if you're wanting to meet Aerith. Cause, yanno, she's in the Lifestream while you're alive.Cloud want to live on to meet Aerith (in "Case of Tifa")
Other 98 reasons you can't argue with:

Dude that topic is awesome. It's one of the few where they don't demonize (is that the right word) Tifa and bash Clotis and so on.
5) "In keeping with the notion that Cloud is in the live action world in the end, we filmed the video for the ending credits in Hawaii. There are fields of flowers on both sides of the road, and the colors - yellow and white - are the same as the flowers in Aerith's church." ~Nomura, Reunion Files, pg. 87
56) He only one who can see Aerith in AC/ACC.
It also makes absolutely no sense. Very awesome
Here's something I hate... I really dislike when some people claim that Tifa was worthless, because she put up a good fight. I can't stand people saying that Tifa couldn't help Cloud fight, but Aerith could, so that makes her more important. -sigh-
Makes more sense than a lot of the other stuff on there.
95) In Final Fantasy IX, there was a soldier and a flower girl who greatly resembled Cloud and Aerith. The soldier ("Pluto Knight VII", as in Final Fantasy VII) declares that he is very lucky at having met such a beautiful flower girl in a destroyed city (here we see an allusion to Midgar, a city destroyed at the end of FFVII). The flower girl remarks, "He's cute, but he isn't exactly Mr. Personality." This statement fits Cloud perfectly, because we all know that he was not the most personable guy in the world. Also, the fact that these two can be found right outside a church in Alexandria hints to Cloud and Aerith, as they were first properly introduced in Aerith's church during FFVII.
I really dislike the whole AC movie for making it look like only Cloud can make a difference. All other characters are cheerleaders.
Ouch. Gosh I haven't been called a douche since 4th grade LMAO.
Wait wait wait. Going back to Tifa not going to the Forgotten Capital...
How the heck is TIFA a liability? She was wiping the floor with Loz until he cheated and caught her by surprise! There's no way she'd get caught like that a second time, and this time she'd have Cloud, so they'd be a double team.
Besides, Cloud's more of a liability with his inability to get his act together--and he does, in fact, fail the first time. Vincent has to save his rear. If he'd brought Tifa with him, the double team of Tifa/Cloud fighting for their kids would have been pretty much unstoppable.
The reason I'm criticizing it is because I think this is the writers being lazy. I'm with Bella on this one. They decided to write Tifa slightly OOC (seriously, the more I think about it, the more I feel that there's no way Tifa would just sit back and wait--she's never been that type to sit and twiddle her thumbs when someone she loves is in mortal danger--plus relying on shifty Cloud who hasn't been all that particularly reliable in the past week or so is really sketchy at this point) so that they could keep up emo Cloud and make him go on his journey alone, which I still call BS on because the film should have been about Cloud overcoming things with his family and facing the responsibilities of his role in the family rather than "let's just make him look cool".
Honestly, I don't think this has anything to do with "rationality" on Tifa's part and everything to do with "let's make Tifa a side-show shounen girl attraction cheering on the hero and let Cloud do the fighting because he's so awesome, har har".
Jumping on the mama train--as a parent I can say full well, NOTHING stands in your way when protecting your children. This is plainly evident in Tifa when she stays with Denzel as BIOLOGICAL parents scatter to the four winds when Bahamut shows up.
Which is why I always fucking hated how she was defending Denzel and then when Cloud comes along, she jumps on his bike leaving Denzel to fend for himself. Really... I hate that scene....
.....You do realize he lived just around the corner right?
Forgive her for actually thinking he could walk a few feet and into a door without a savage monster devouring him, while mommy and daddy defend the city from being turned into a burned out crater.
I mean, really guys...ffs.
