I don't know what the fucking problem is, but this review is such "colossal fail" (see what I did there, Spoony?), whereas the FFVIII review was amazing. And that's coming from somebody who loves that game. He had me near tears with that one, but this shit is just annoying.
In his newest video, one of the only two witty things he managed was putting the soccer audio over the Blitzball footage. That was clever, and, honestly, now that someone's said it, a little of that might have actually improved the minigame (not that it was bad before).
And the second witty thing was putting the "Dune" footage in there when Tidus and co. fought the giant sandworm in the Bikanel Desert. Not that this is the first time anyone has drawn the connection, but still, credit where it's due. At least I'm willing to do it even if this dunghole isn't.
Okay, and I'll give him credit for the Hurricane Katrina waterpark line. I chuckled.
So, three funny things in a 26-minute video. Slow down, Spoony, you're gonna make some bladders burst if you keep the laughs coming this hard and fast!
Otherwise, though, we just get some stupid shit in a FFX review about how Vaan and Pennelo aren't directly related to the events of FFXII beyond having landed in extraordinary circumstances -- which kind of makes you wonder if -- along with beind that determined to not pay attention to the game he's supposed to be reviewing -- he's that damn determined to miss the point.
Speaking of missing the obvious, you'd think Spoony would have picked up on the irony of all his fucking whining when he's calling Tidus a whiner.
And how does one arrive at the conclusion that a scene where Auron is trying to show Tidus that his father loved him is pointless? I mean, you want to complain about scenes that are there to develop a character you claim has no substance? Holy fucking wow.
Also, am I the only one annoyed by his insistence upon saying "Tie-dus" instead of "Tee-dus"?
