Square Enix trademarks Ever Crisis, The First Soldier, and Shinra logo in Japan

Ever Crisis could very well be a game happening after DoC, for all we know lol. It just fits the scheme AC/C, BC, CC, DoC, so of course, everyone is excited, and with a title so close to Before Crisis/Crisis Core, people do relate that game to that time, especially since they trademarked First Soldier alongside with it.

A parallel game to Remake with "what if?" motif? Yep, I feel it would fit, and would allow for those who want to see Zack more play him. That would be interesting, to see how it'd develop right next to Remake.

Zack and Genesis should be part of the actual remake, but maybe we'll see even more of them in this new side material...

I will admit I am wondering why they are working on at least two more different FF7 related things. They have to be working on Remake Part 2. But having other FF7 projects makes me think the wait for Part 2 will be even longer than some of us hope it will be.

For people who aren't familear with how SE does game development, the same Business Division is not working on all the games SE is putting out. The dev teams are split up into different Business Divisions that work on their own game titles with their own development processes and their own development personal. The Division working on FF7 is not the same Division working on FFXVI. So more FF7 stuff isn't going to influence the people making FFXVI. Which can be why different FF games end up feeling very different from each other even when they're being made at the same time...

"cloud" emoji doesn't have to be literally referred to Cloud Strife. It can be, but can not be too.
For example, Crisis Core logo is a blue sky with clouds in it.
And as I recall, Nomura or Kitase don't really associate Cloud with "clouds" symbol just putting a random name with weather involvement like "squall" and "lightning"

Even if I love any compilation till ZC lol, I don't expect EC would use the word "crisis" again. So, EC must be still related to OG/Remake timeline (prequel or even as the title of Remake part 2), not the sequel that uses the word "children" and "cerberus".

IF EC was the title of Remake Part 2, it's relevant as we would get all the crisis told here: Nibelheim Incident in Kalm (even if it's Cloud's version), the origin of Jenova & Cetra in Cosmo Canyon, and learning the meteor crisis in Temple of Ancient. People already speculated the second title can be rebirth, reunion, requiem, even Edge of Creation (EC).

And if EC wasn't the title of Remake Part 2, I would love to see EC as movie like AC (and Kingsglaive) though, not a game. We still have Remake to develop completely. It can work like AC being released when the devs were also working for DC and CC. And "First SOLDIER" can be OVA accompanying it like LO to AC. Or novels like OTWTAS related to AC.

1. I hate “what-if” scenarios, so I hope this isn’t that. I want everything to be related and canon and historical to the main story.

2. Square also posted other “though-bubble” emojis for their other properties. This is most certainly a tweeet signifying Cloud strife or something related.

3. What’s the chance that “First Soldier” is just “First Class Soldier” and a side-story about other soldiers, or perhaps Zack? I hope it’s not about Sephiroth, cuz I don’t want them to undermine the Nibelheim flashback reveal any further than they already have by showing so much of Sephiroth.

4. I’m calling it now: the Shinra trademark is of a new logo entirely. The whispers retroactively changes history and so the stamp Logo and shinra logo have changed!!!!!! No alternate timelines!!!! I got this!!!! You can pay me later!!!!

I hope it's more about Wutai War and the fame Sephiroth got thereafter as Great Hero who inspires many boys to join SOLDIER, people may wonder what makes Cloud wanna be like him. That's why Sephiroth is the first SOLDIER... even Genesis wanna be like him lol. And yeah, it's Shinra's propaganda too. I mean, they trademarked it with Shinra logo right?

... What if this is an upgraded mobile re-release of Before Crisis's story except vastly expanded, outsourced to another company and also including SOLDIER so it covers not just Turks but even SOLDIER itself?

Like I just realized how all of Square Enix's major IP's have a mobile tie-in game handled by an outsourced developer... Except FFVII.

Kingdom Hearts. Dissidia. FFXV. Brave Exivus. Record Keeper. Nier.

FFVII is the only IP that's missing a mobile phone tie in for itself.

I think they're finally rectifying this. I expect this to include gacha elements, multiple job type classes, episodes, and ways of essentially tying Before Crisis's story to the Remake and cleaning up it's entire story. I'm fucking calling it, lol

I don’t speak Japanese so I can’t verify this myself but somebody had pointed out on Reddit that “first soldier” is basically how “soldier first class” is written and spoken in Japanese...not that it negates the possibility of it being the title of a new work if that’s accurate but I thought I’d throw that out there, could just be about Zack

I mean it would still be an alternate timeline, I think the question is whether or not the original one is parallel to this new one or if the old one just doesn’t exist anymore...we’re probably in the same boat regarding the one alternate timeline versus multiple timelines thing otherwise

Naw, they wouldn't give it a storyline Compilation-esque title.

Furthermore, "Crisis" has always held a specific meaning in the Compilation. The "Crisis" was the main conflict of FFVII. The naming convention of the Compilation has always been "Before Crisis" meaning... Before FFVII's main crisis conflict... And "Crisis Core," the "core" conflict that launched the "crisis" of FFVII, meaning the Nibelheim Incident and SOLDIER's numerous issues.

So, Ever Crisis sounds like something continuous and connected to FFVII. Which makes me think of a gacha mobile game :monster:
