Nazi is now just a term it seems to say you strongly dislike something, and I guess the Clerith Nazi's either hate Cloti or the Cloti fans.
Splitting hairs here but that's a bit broad. It connotes a militant approach to effecting one's views upon the world, not mere hatred. (Not to be confused with
affecting one's views, by the way, so if you don't know the difference, please look it up.)
And for the record I think the rest of you who are getting bent out of shape over the use of the word in a tongue-in-cheek manner are going a bit overboard. It's not like we're talking about the KKK and "neo-nazis," who are totally and disgustingly serious about it. I myself had "resident VinLu nazi" as my user comment (before I decided that "flunky" was far more epic), not because I have a serious desire to commit genocide against all who oppose VinLu, but because I was poking fun at my own tendencies to get belligerent over it.

True enough, true enough but all fictional charcters have their flaws unless they are Mary Sue's, but is there a point to stand up for them, for the sake of their feelings?
Not for the sake of their "feelings." They don't have feelings. But in order to defend a point, sure, I don't see why not. Isn't that a debate?

People usually stand up for things because it is their opinion and they want to avoid offense against them.
Not necessarily for something so petty as to avoid offense against themselves. Sharing one's opinion (or any opinion/stance) and supporting it with reasons why one should hold the same opinion, then defending said opinion against the opposing opinion, is pretty much the definition of a debate.

I could say I dislike Twilight and Bella even though they did nothing wrong, but does that make me mean?
"Mean" wouldn't be my word of choice. But depending on how retarded you get with stating that opinion, where you do it, and to whom— these factors might make me choose a different word to describe your actions.
Example 1:
KissTheRain's Personal Journal
So I saw/read Twilight and I really dislike it. I didn't like Bella either.
Example 2:
Twilight Fan Forums - The Bella Fan Club <3<3<3
Twilight sucks and Bella's a cunt, kthx.
Example 3:
Daylight - The Anti-Twilight, Anti-Bella, We Hate Everything Associated With Stephanie Meyer Official HateSite
ZOMG WTF TWILIGHT IS THE WORST FUCKING SHIT IN THE WORLD AND I HATE BELLA SO MUCH I WANT TO STAB HER IN THE EYE WITH A PENCIL UNTIL SHE DIES I CAN'T SLEEP AT NIGHT BECAUSE I HATE BELLA SO MUCH WTFFFF.
You can see how the three examples might warrant differing levels of approval or disapproval.
In Example 3 in particular, while the poster seems to be in an appropriate place to express her dislike of Twilight, actually investing the energy to hate something fictional with such a passion and to locate a "hatesite" on which to spaz makes her a douche.
Please replace the appropriate words with "Clerith," "Cloti," "Tifa," "Aeris," etc.

DF, directs it to actual people and that's rather mean imo.
Yes but actual people do actual retarded things. ;D And I'd rather see someone ragged on for something they did than for something they feel, especially if what they did is filled with utter stupidity.
tl;dr - It's far more assinine to emotionally invest in hating a fictional character, pairing, etc. than it is to call someone out on douchery.
