That's because hitoboy is actually psychic. How do you think we got all those pro-Cloti statements from the staff? We got hito to lay some weird mojo on 'em and voila! Cloti lies galore! :monster:

OWD, you know that's not true. You know it's because we replaced the staff ourselves several years ago.

Mmmmm yes. *strokes ego* Good gooood.

As for why they changed it? Well it couldn't possibly have any Zerith implications. Or that Cloud sees them as equally important. Because as we all know Aerith barely tolerates Zack and Cloud doesn't even see him.

It's show Cloud is in love with BOTH of them.

Tifa with Vincent...? Oh hells no, that bitch needs to die, lol.

Vincent is taken. Funny how because Lucrecia won't join the outside world everyone likes to dismiss his feelings and pair him with whomever their whims desire. You'd think a group supporting "love after death" would respect his love for and devotion to Lucrecia, who isn't even dead and could change her mind, anyway.

Tell the pinks to leave him out of their asshattery plz.

While Vin with pretty much anyone else is a major stretch, I do have to wonder what they were doing with Shelke reiterating Luc's little catchphrase to him as the last word of the game (other than the bonus ending). If it wasn't just to be cute, if it was some sort of 'hint', then that's eight kinds of freaky.

IT MEANS NOTHING. CRISIS CORE MEANS NOTHING. It has absolutely no bearing on the story of FF7. Prequels have no influence on later installments. Where are you guys getting these silly notions?

Taking that to its logical extreme, FF7 has no bearing on AC/C, being its prequel.
Of course, I know folks who would wish SW Eps1-3 and Enterprise didn't count for those franchises, but ah well.

At an apparently necessary press conference held to confirm FF7's canon couple, whoever it may be(*rolleyes*), Nojima and Nomura will unzip their foreheads and reveal a dirty secret.

Hehehe. Oh yes.

Re: Maiden being canon thing:

I don't think updated designs (SOLDIER uniforms, etc.) should count as inconsistances, especially since they purposely changed these and didn't just forget. But even though aren't major. What massive story element is changed because some SOLDIER uniforms aren't red?

But if something comes later and changes some scene from the original (Zack's death, escape from Nibelheim), then wouldn't it make sense to just take what came later? They changed it for a reason, because they wanted it to be shown that way.

But it seems to ignore most of the contraditions brought up here (Hojo being dead, the details of Zack/Aerith's relationship), and focused on basically 'Compilation is full of inconsistancies'. Is Dirge of Cerberus wrong? Is Crisis Core wrong? Or could it just be that Maiden is wrong?

Some things in the Ultimania Omega are wrong, because they've decided to change some details around. Why is Maiden exempt from this? Maiden, a side story in a companion book written by someone who-- despite having written other stories in other guide books-- isn't part of Square's official staff and not talked about in any later materials, somehow has more credibility than two game that are officially a part of the Compilation?

Also, 'Cloud's finishing': just means '[the one] Cloud finished with at the end', so could be talking about the Omnislash as a whole. 'Cloud's finishing' sound awkward, but I don't see how 'finishing move' is any less likely than 'finishing sword strike'.

You're both right.

Because I replace the staff with flunkies of myself using psychic mind powers. Now seems a good time to tell everyone my evil plans. First, it involves me making SE use my OTWTAS translations, thus making me an 'official translator' and therefore people will have to trust me.

Then I use my position/charms/evil powers to befriend Nomura and get him to let me do some kind of guest writing on the next FFVII thing, maybe some special character design collaboration. That's another position of trust.

And then I make Nomura, who at this point will pretty much be my bitch, let me direct another FFVII thing, giving me the final position of trust I need before I can rightfully make

Lol, I think she was trying to remind him of their common link (Lucrecia's memory) in a friendly manner, thus why he smiles and looks up at the sky. She did after all go out there to convince him to come back with his friends, right?

And I knew Hito couldn't be trusted. I KNEW IT.

Also, Mako is actually me in e-disguise.
That explains why you both refuse to post your pictures. It all makes sense now.

@Maiden: Why are some pinkers (not all, I realize) still treating Maiden as canon along with CoL? Shouldn't they take one or the other?

Any pictures of Mako are just me in a wig.

Logically, I think they can both coexist. Maiden is set during FFVII, but Lifestream Black/White take place post-FFVII/pre-AC. So they don't conflict chronologically. (I don't really remember Maiden well enough to recall if they don't match up content-wise.)

That WOULD be an excellent plan, if the staff wasn't already replaced by my robotic servants. And I'm immune to psychic attack, too.
But I can 'hire' you if you like, since it plays right into my scheme too.

I have a srs question... why is it called Cloti and not Clofa? .. cause Cloti sounds.. weird.

Clofa sounds horrible. Also, Japaneses use a very simple system for pairings: first syllable of each name.
Cloud + Tifa = CloTi
Cloud + Aerith = CloAer
Zack + Aerith = ZaAer (or maybe Zaer? I'm not too sure about this)

I know this is how it works. So it's more like it's Clerith that should sound weird :monster:

Cause Cloti sounds cool :monster: and Clofa would remind me of sofa  cause I'm really random:lol:

hmm CloAer and ZaAer would be hard for me to pronounce...so I stick with Zerith and Clerith :awesome:

Zack/Aerith in Japanese is 'Zakuea' (ザクエア: zakkusu [ザックス] x earisu [エアリス]). Japanese abbreviations like this (in general) are usually first two Japanese syllables of the words. Although 'ti/ティ' is technically one, it's written as two, so many that's how they count it. I don't really know the rules, I had to look up the Z/A one :monster:

Clerith sounds okay to me. :monster: I like it better than Cloti, actually. The sound, I mean. :wacky:

Clack sounds the best. :reptar:

So it's not Zerith and Clerith? :awesome:

I have to wonder though. Why are there so few AerithxTseng fans? :sadpanda:

Oh yeah, it's two syllables. I should have known though - why did I write one? Maybe because CloTi sounds like 1/1 LOL XD

Thank you for correcting, hito! :)

Does anyone have a spy lurker on the PN forum? I would love to know if they have noticed the difference on how Zack and Aerith leave in ACC compared to AC.

And thier reactions/explanations would also be lovely. :muhaha:
