How does anything being said in this thread equate to bashing Cleriths? Seriously? How does pointing out that the rules at CxA forums are ridiculous equate to a personal attack on anyone who posts there? I don't get it at all.
Well, if you ask me, while it is true that particular forum is excessive and has gone too far (IMO, at least) on several aspects(namely rules wise), its also true that by bringing them constantly here, we're only giving those same people more importance than what is really worth it. I mean, its pretty clear how things stand at this point and were the factual evidence rests so do we really need to make fun of whatever they choose to believe?
Frankly, the *only* things I hold against the CxA forums (or any forum that acts on that same basis) is to twist and write essays with erroneous information and state them as facts. I think that only hurts the entire FF7 fanbase. The rest, though, is up to however wants to join and be part of that community. I speak for myself when I say I would never join a Cloud/Tifa board if I knew there was an Anti-Aerith or Anti-Aerith subforum there because I'm personally against that, despite might actually sharing that board's pairing preference.
I say we focus more on the arguments themselves and less on the people who were behind them or in their personal beliefs for most part, no matter how farfetched as they may sound. Sure, it may be a bit difficult to do it, but I think that's possible. As for the CxA forum references, well, might as well ignore their politics all together and give the example here, even if they don't do the same on their grounds. That's just me, though. Feel free to agree with me or not
Lastly, I would also like to apologize for asking about those forums myself. I was curious and I didn't post my question with the intend of relying people to voice against the CxA forum (I was simply attempting to understand how that particular side of our fanbase worked so that I could try to comprehend some of those posts/arguments that were being discussed.) and I do understand that it really wasn't all that important and, as such, I shouldn't have brought up the subject.
