I'm just saying that, if a said person believes Aeris is the one, and another person believes it's Tifa, they won't convince each other, no matter how hard they try to do so.

Well I see it as BS, because that doesn't negate or change the fact that one is based in reality, and the other isn't based on fact. That argument is used by fans who don't want to accept the fact they're wrong and the story isn't saying what they want. People can believe all they want that the Earth is flat (which surprisingly some people fucking do) but that doesn't justify or allow them to spout their nonsense as fact.

It's not about opinion, it's about what the story states. And if we're gonna discuss and look at the story as is, then there needs to be an actual level of truth that's understood. FFVII and its Compilation isn't a "Choose your own ending" story. You can't just think what you want and logically discuss what the facts of the story are.

Do they need to hold a press conference at Jump Festa and have Nomura do an official artwork of Cloud slipping Tifa the sausage over a bar stool at Seventh Heaven with both of them smiling and holding a "thumbs up?"
