I wasn't wondering if it was using date as in what day it is(that wouldn't make much grammatical sense) but if the word used for date could be used for 'date' as in a social engagement, instead of 'date' as in a romantic engagement.

/tv/, /v/, and /vg/ are fine as long as you aren't too ruffled over really offensive language. anything really disturbing or gross is found on the 18+ sections, /b/ being the worst out of all of them (no one likes /b/)

in short: it's one of those places that's better to lurk than participate

I remember those envy.nu sites, as well as some of the others. Oh, the nostalgia, of those bygone days when people made webpages devoted to why they hated a fictional character so badly. Even the great Sephiroth wasn't spared. Poor, misunderstood Sephy.

Oddly enough, though, a number of those sites are still listed on Classic Anipike. It seems that some of them, or at least their domain names, since most no longer exist, still haunt the LTD.

While I don't go on 4chan any more, the only board I'd probably be able to stand is, bizarrely /d/ because that, contrary to all expectation, is where the reasonable, nice people of 4chan hang out. /d/ is for discussion, after all.

Also, Tumblr has replaced all the world's shitty geocities, envy.nu, and homestead pages as THE place for incohate pairing and/or character worship and hate.

It's a micro and macrocosm of fanrage, butthurt, and whargharbl. If you're slightly evil, it's hilarious.
