Ok, I just checked with some help from Clicky and her Lilligant, and the answer is no. No they do not regenerate when used in a wifi battle. I set my Blaziken up with a Chesto Berry, then the Lilligant hit him with Sleep Powder. When all was said and done, I had gone from 4 Chesto Berries to 3. So be aware all, do not use consumable held items in your battles unless you're ok with them being consumed!

Edit: I got confused somehow, they do in fact regenerate. I forgot that the berry would regenerate ON the mon holding it, not in the bag. My bad.

Alright folks, we're really close now. Just four more days until the tournament is to be held. Any last minute training you need to do, or any preparations to be able to get on wifi for the battles need to be done post haste if you're gonna be ready. I also am still missing Omega's friend code. I really do hate to be a pest about this, but I'd appreciate it if I could get that soon.

And on that note, it doesn't look like Kris is gonna make the tournament in all likelihood. We will of course do the battle with him as originally scheduled if he does happen to choose the next couple of days to return, but I'm erring on the side of caution here. It's a shame, but when he gets back he can always challenge one of us to move his rank up if he desires. That leaves us with an even six folks to actually compete in the tourney, with Kris defaulting to a Gym Leader position. I'll be switching my match to fight Drake in the first round, considering that.

Now, does anyone have any special needs concerning the time of their match? Clicky and I have an appointment at 2:00 PM CST that day, so we'll need to go earlier than that on our matches if possible.

Tournament is tomorrow. I hope Aki has Omega's friend code cause he STILL hasn't gotten it to me for the League's lists I been keeping. As noted above I will be taking on Drake at 11:00 CST tomorrow. Tiff and Clicky have settled on tomorrow evening, the exact time is still pending. Aki and Omega, you'll need to work out when you want to battle between the two of you. After a match is complete, post the results here please. Feel free to brag/complain about your match as well

What exactly are the rules again? First post is a bit confusing.

Is it? Huh, sorry about that. I asked a few people if they thought it was clear but there have been some changes since then. So, lemme go over this here. Note, these rules will apply during our League Challenge battles as well, save for the number of Pokemon part.


-Our matches will be Flat Battles. That means one on one Pokemon battles using three mons at level 50 (or lower if you let your training get behind) each.

-You cannot use more than one of the same Pokemon

- No more than one of the same item can be held within your team

- No Uber Pokemon.

- No using Pokemon that have been given another mon's name to be tricky.


Since this is the rank tournament, Pokemon can be of any type, you will be using your themed specialty team later. Once we get rank sorted out, challenges can be made to us under these rules. Although I would suggest that if a Gym Leader/Challenger wishes to do Double, Triple, or Rotation battles that should be allowed. And that if a challenger wishes to face the League member in an Open Battle, that too should be fine so long as all parties agree.

Edit: I am probably going to edit the first post again once we get the tourney matches out of the way to show existing members with their rank and title. Unless we want to take this somewhere else? Make a club or something? I dunno, what does everyone think?

The Clicky/Tiff match is still on for this evening however, to my knowledge, so hopefully we'll get some Rocking today no matter what.

2nd Edit: Alright, Aki has forfeited her match against Omega, due to the amount of effort she's been putting into school of late. As the second forfeit, she takes the position of Second Gym Leader, whereas Kris is the first. Omega, lucky bastard that he is, is now in the finals by default. Further matchup details will be provided when the other two matches take place.

Double post of disappoint incoming, sorry there is not better news.

Tiff and Clicky's match didn't happen either, Tiff had issues getting on wifi at home. So our first day of official tourney battles is a total bust with two dropouts and no actual matches. It sucks.

But we shall not surrender! We are rescheduling the first round matches. Drake, we can battle any time, just let me know. Last minute emergencies and other aspects of reality cannot stop us forever! Tiff informs me she will be ready to go later this week perhaps, but not for at least five days. Or she may get a new DSiXL that can connect at her house. We'll have to see when exactly, but it will be done. Hopefully we can then get the semi-finals out of the way that same day, and move on to the finals. We WILL get this done!

Devil and I had our match. I think it's safe to say that he will never forget again that Gliscor is immune to Electric attacks :p. That free turn likely cost you the match dude, without that second Swords Dance to counteract the two Intimidates Krookodile probably would have survived to take Gliscor out...though Crunch was a critical hit, so maybe not. Just bad luck I suppose.

So yeah, that was the most pathetic battle I've fought since Prof. Oak gave me my first Charmander.

Aye, if it'd been Slowbro in over Krookodile in the second turn I would have gotten out the seconds Swords Dance, but that probably wouldn't be enough for Earthquake to kill Slowbro and from there the match would be totally different, though my Gallade packs a nice punch and I like to think it would have gotten me the win.

Good match, I feel bad saying this but I thought it was funny. I was like "no, Acrobatics cannot KO Krookodile at almost full health....it did...and Blaziken is his third." I feel your pain dude.

Alright, we're gonna be hitting a lull here for a bit while we wait for Tiff and Clicky to be able to fight their match. As said above, this could be as soon as 5 days from now, or a bit less/longer depending on which direction Tiff follows to find a solution to her wifi problem. The winner of that match will fight Drake in the Semi-finals, and the winner of that will face Omega in the Final of the tournament. I have prepared sprite-trophies and such for 1st-4th place So don't follow my example, do the best you can folks.

While we're waiting on matches to commence once more, we have time to discuss how we're gonna run this League as time goes on. We've talked about inter-League challenges which allow folks to change ranks by defeating whoever holds the position they're challenging for. I'm looking forward to that, I'd like the chance to redeem myself a wee bit after how bad that loss was We should set some rules for those sorts of matches I think. Obviously the Flat Battle part stands, unless both competitors agree to go Open. I think for this sort of challenge, going beyond Single Battle should be allowed just like I suggested for when Gym Leaders and Elites who are being challenged by normal Trainers. Here's the rules I propose for these challenges, loosely based around some old dueling rules in some regards:

-Flat Battles unless agreed upon by all involved in the challenge

-No doubled items or Pokemon

-No Ubers

-The Challenger chooses the battle type (Single, Double, etc)

-The Challenged Party chooses the Team type (Varied or Themed)

-You may only challenge a League member within three of your own rank (example, to challenge the Leader of the Elite Four, you'd have to be Elite yourself)

Clicky suggested making these sorts of challenges "Best Two Out Of Three" style brawls. I'm inclined to agree, but that could just be me wishing I had another battle against Drake right now talking They're all up for discussion of course, whether I'm sure of my position or not I want to hear everyone's thoughts on the matter. Though I am gonna take a wild guess and assume Omega will respond "meh" or some variation thereof if anything

And, while we're on the subject, I'd wondered earlier if we should keep working out of this thread once we're established or form a club or something. No one ever commented on that, was it indifference to the idea or were we all just too busy with other things at the time? Lemme know what you think folks.

Of course, it'd be impossible to not use ANY mons at least twice in a Triple battle, so we might have to throw it out as an option. Bumping this thread because I do not give up DAMN IT!

Ok, so this whole thing has gotten off to a very poor start so far for everyone but Drake (who kicked my ass in sideways). Aki and Matichorus both had to forfeit due to absence/lack of free time, Tiff and Clicky's match got pushed back for like ever (and now Tiff's DS is lost and that so sucks). Five of our seven members have not even gotten to fight. It all just kinda went to hell on us.

So I propose that if you guys are still interested (and any new folk who might join up as well!), we mostly start the whole tournament over. My loss to Drake will of course still stand, but all the forfeits could be waived and a new date set once everyone's capabilities are restored.

Here's hoping people still care and would like to see this happen.

Wellll I lost against Clicky with Audi (Audino), Ocelot (Samurott), and EVA (Zweilous). It was a pretty even match though, a very close one. We each took out two of each other's pokemon, the first match up was quite amusing xD neck in neck with da HP.
