South Korean dramas don't go crazy with the physicality either (or didn't used to, I haven't watched the new ones). So when the couples do get kisses, it's always EPIC, lol. It's so cute. Honestly better than American romance shows because watching those I'm always like, "omg, please stop swapping spit", lol.

The ones my mom watched are like that (The Korean dramas) lol

And I just remembered, one shoujo I watched that aired from Dec last year to Jan this year (but was written like a decade ago?) had an obvious romance that ran for nearly all 24 of its episodes.

The last episode was the guy finally confessing and proposing to the girl. The couple hug right before the credits -- no kiss.

I watched another just a few years before that had a forehead kiss after having the audacity to tease a kiss.

Point being, there's a reason why I doubted the GS date leaks when they first came out xD

Meanwhile I just discovered the couple from a rom-com manga I used to follow just finally had sex, so I'm catching up on that. This is the problem with people, both CA's and CT's trying to make definitive statements about how things are done in Asia, It isn't a monolith.

Cap is honestly the wrong brush to paint Cloud with. Cap was a sickly small man with the heart of a hero. The Super Soldier program just made the body capable of matching the heart. And he was chosen for the project for that very reason.

By contrast, Cloud had the physical potential for great things from the start, but not the heart. He chose to pursue becoming SOLDIER for selfish reasons, to be good enough for the gurl he loves. And he was rejected for lacking the force of will to stay himself.

Cloud is "just a guy" in the sense that he's very much the Unchosen. He stumbled, failed, and derped his way to being the hero. It was never a role that was chosen for him.

I'm not really with you everytime you talk about this. I don't like this idea of a "superhuman" hiding beneath the surface. I think it ruins his character. This is exactly why I don't want Glenn to be his father. I don't want there to be a predestined connection.

Just because when Tifa fell, he escaped with just a scraped knee, doesn't mean he's powerful from the start. Maybe he was just lucky he didn't land on his head like she did.

Likewise, the fact that he can kill the world's greatest SOLDIER loses all value for me if "well actually he's a genius, he just needed to believe it".

It also goes against the subtext of Tifa, who's in love with him precisely because he's not unapproachable, he's just another boy.

We're talking about alien cells in his body that make him forget he has motion sickness. Rather speaking as changing a person physically for me.

So yeah. I don't like it. Not saying you're wrong (and maybe I didn't understand your point) but it seems to me it is also based on your interpretation. So i'll keep with mine for the time being I think.

Considering this person thinks they did a great write up about how Cloud and Tifa is not it, i wonder how they genuinely think there would ever be anything like this between Zack and Tifa (yes this all reads like the usual bullshit of let's throw the problematic characters that get in the way of our ship together)?

I just find this bullcrap deflection so weird if you're supposed to understand these characters in the first place. Zack and Tifa did in fact meet and there was no flirting whatsoever for starters and we know how Tifa is when it comes down to any other guy and their advances besides Cloud.

1: If the opposing ship throws in this at the end of the game it's time for your ship to throw in the towel. Proceeds to show an image of Cloud holding hands with a dead Aerith in a game that literally has Cloud kissing another girl.
2: Keep your OPTIONAL kiss lol. (Man the cope)
3: Here is a list of misrepresented and cherry picked quotes and moments in rapid fire so it take more than 240 characters to clean up the stupidity mess they made in 1 image.

Not in anyones dizziest daydreams is Zack going to magically appear infront of Tifa and flirt with her, and then Tifa not deny the advances. The amount of empty air between these peoples ears needs to be studied because i've never seen anything like it quite frankly.

The people plugged into the Matrix are having less vivid dreams than this.

Funnily enough this person did use the classic mistranslated OG text of "Tifa and the guys didn't let Cloud into the group" while also mentioning her saying the opposite in Rebirth, but they chose to deflect that into being because Cloud got implanted false memories when meeting Tifa at the train station and then posting about the quick flashback of Tifa we see in the beginning of Remake, where Cloud recollected that bit wrongly. So basically in a nutshell they imply that Tifa is a liar in Rebirth for saying that they tried to invite him but he never joined instead.

So remember people, only the old mistranslated things matter and anything that gets fixed in the new material doesn't matter.

The most bizarro thing is that... they already met and there was absolutely no spark. All Zack was into was Aerith and all Tifa was into was Cloud. Literally. And Zack be like a third man after with Cloud "you sure you haven't got anything to say buddy?" lmao xD And Cloud be like "my secret noooooooo I don't want to tell anyone" xD

I just don't get why they think saying stuff like this somehow gives their points more credit and isn't easily disapproved if you actually cared about this game and it's characters.

Like i didn't approve of what i read in general, but then throwing that stuff about how Zack and Tifas characters would act at the end just instantly made the whole writeup completely worthless in my eyes.

Until shown anything concrete that says otherwise, I’m assuming it follows the same rules as other LA/HA scenes in this and the original game: the sentiment is the same, the HA version just emphasizes it

Sometimes, omitting something is more potent than actually saying it ( words aren’t the only way to express how you feel )

I'm afraid that Zack and Tifa's doppelgangers will show up and take their place and make the endgame pairing CA and ZT, because we are to assume Cloud would just take that lying down, I guess

Speaking of variable dialogue results for the date. I think there might actually be something that also affects the final battle lineups to an extent. I noticed this when a streamer got Tifa for the wing phase of Rebirth Sephi alongside Yuffie and Barret. Every other time i've seen, including my own runs had Red, Yuffie and Barret there.

I have no idea yet what affects this stuff but i might go and experiment on it a little at some point.

It's probably safer and more accurate to say that they don't 100% know the story and/or the characters they're talking about. Just watched YT clips, read surface level interpretations, played Disc 1 of OG only, etc.

Edit to add: Genesis still has work to do -- he said so in DoC! With Deepground in Remake, Genesis' return is nigh!
