Afaik, most Japanese style partments like Stargazer Heights ban pets. I don't think Marle admits animals in her apartments so Tifa can't have him

Oh yes, but it's minuscule. The night sky is only referenced in one of the most important Cloud's memories, Tifa's theme for the PS4, moon earrings, Stargazer Heights and lots of references to stars thorough the game.
It's a very small connection but it's there.

Stars... In Japanese, the word they use for stars is the same they use for planets (celestial bodies.) "The planet" is a major theme of the game, connected specifically to Aerith! You absolute fools, the stars are clearly the devs pointing towards Cleri- NO WAIT! That word is ALSO what they call meteor sometimes! Sephiroth wants to ram his Celestial body into Aerith's! Sepherith Aeriroth? Serith? what's the ship name? CONFIRMED! That's what all the star iconography is pointing to!

But wait! In the end, Meteor was not only stopped by Holy, but also by the lifestream where Aerith, Zack and Sephiroth reside.
Which can only mean one thing: the ending shot of meteor with holy and the lifestream is nothing but symbolism of a giant SCATZ orgy!!! The fact that Holy is there with the orgy is to signify that this is most definitely a--- wait for it---- HOLY FUCK!!!
