What part of his speech makes you think he's in a rage?
Nevermind, you're buying into fanfic!Cloud rather than the person he's portrayed to be. cuz he's so crawwwwliiin in my skiiiinn
Where is this "fact", please.I have no problem with Cloud crying over Aerith, but the fact is--he didn't.
If Cloud teared up a bit, shed a few tears when Aerith got skewered right in front of him, I wouldn't blame the dude. Shit's fucked up. Course, the graphics make it hard to tell, and he did seem pretty angry, with the way he yelled at Sephiroth.
But SOBBING? Uh, no.
...Shut up. The cycle of nature and your stupid plan don't mean a thing.
Aerith is gone. Aerith will no longer talk, no longer laugh, cry...... or get
angry...... What about us...... what are WE supposed to do? What about my pain?
My fingers are tingling. My mouth is dry. My eyes are burning!
For one, that's awfully coherent and clear for someone who is sobbing. And the sensations he's talking about sound like someone who's on the fit of lashing out in a fit of righteous rage and anger, not someone about to break down and weep.
If Tifa's in your party you can clearly see what weeping would look like, versus Cloud's fist trembling.
Also:
"My fingers are tingling.
My mouth is dry.
My eyes are burning!"
Have you seriously never cried before in your whole life? You'd think you'd know it when it was described to you.
Or it could just be that characters handle grief differently.
Where is this "fact", please.
It's not voice acted-- however coherent he does or doesn't sound is all in your head.
Or it could just be that characters handle grief differently.
Sephiroth: What are you saying? Are you trying to tell me you have feelings too?
Cloud: Of course! Who do you think I am!?
Sephiroth: Ha, ha, ha...... Stop acting as if you were sad. There's no need to
act as though you're angry either. Because, Cloud. You are...
Where is this "fact", please.
I don't know about the other people here, but when I cry, my fingers don't tingle and my mouth doesn't go dry. And I've never had anyone else tell me this happens to them.
You can keep you wimpy ass, sobbing version of Cloud. I'll take Compilation's, Kay? Thnx.
Didn't Nomura say he would have a hard time doing that scene in an FFVII remake because of Cloud crying? Or something to that effect.
Wow you're right, sobbing over someone you cared about dying in front of you is so whimpy, Cloud would be a faggot if he did that gawdz

Christ, you people have some skewed visions of grief. Sobbin, crying, generally being upset when you see someone sliced right in front of you is not a sign of weakness, it's a natural human reaction.
I believe he said it would be hard emotionally for HIM -- Nomura.Didn't Nomura say he would have a hard time doing that scene in an FFVII remake because of Cloud crying? Or something to that effect.

But, seriously y'all, are you arguing about whether Cloud cried or not again?
... How does this apply to the LTD at all? Sometimes I think you guys would argue over the difference between six and half-dozen.
'Cause admitting he was sad over her death is another one of those things that's just as horrible as saying they loved each other.... How does this apply to the LTD at all?
Since I've actually had people I care about die right in front of me, all too recently, I can honestly tell you that sobbing isn't the primary response. Shock is. And yes, that includes trembling, burning eyes and a dry mouth. The sobbing comes later.
'Cause admitting he was sad over her death is another one of those things that's just as horrible as saying they loved each other.
Iunno. I don't think Cloud's some pussy who wept womanly tears after watching Beaches or anything, but I don't think he's this badass motherfucker whose manly tears are so rare they can cure cancer either. I mean, the dude let a chick dress him up like a woman and was all "Let's mosey" at the end of the game.
That said, there's not really conclusive proof that he cried. Rage, for sure. Sadness, yeah. But sobbing? No dice. Point is, it was an emotional moment for him. He was devastated, as everyone there probably was to at least some degree. It doesn't really matter whether or not he was weeping. He didn't weep buckets when he thought Tifa was a goner in Ze Flashback either.
