I don't want to start going OT, but it's always amused me that people looove Sephiroth's line in AC: "Tell me what you cherish most, so I can take it away". Kefka says it in FF6, just about the exact same line. :lol:

The comments about Aerith's theme being Celes theme are here. I replied today and the comment's gone. WTF.

For that matter, I ought to go dig up those walkthrough videos of DOC that have comments on them which are just littered with misinformation. You ever want to see some ridiculous assumptions and commentary, I suggest reading comments on FF7 videos.

I find it seriously annoying when fans assume they know more than the creators or me. But as far as fandom assumptions, I'd have to say the assumption that Rinoa is Ultimecia still makes me twitch.

(You've got an excellent selection of facepalm icons on here, but the sheer size & amount of them I'd have to use to express my feelings would ruin the bandwith, so...)

I had replied, saying that the video is the 'Aria' from the Opera... Celes' song is a remix of that song. And then I linked them to a video of the Opera scene from the original, 1994 version of FF6. It's got that exact same intro- yes it sounds LIKE Aerith's Theme, but it's not! It couldn't possibly happen.

But I forget, FF7 came first and everything else copied. :awesome: Luff you very much FF7, but fans can be so dumb sometimes.

Well no one in FF is anywhere near the first villain to say something of that nature. But I don't think I ever actually encountered someone who loooved that line. I myself like the "on your knees" one.

Also, even ignoring the ridiculous implication that Aeris' Theme came before Aria...how would it be "ripping off," Uematsu wrote both of them. He ripped off himself? Can you sue for that?:monster:

"On your knees". XD It can take you out of the movie from laughing, if you think of it in the wrong frame of mind.

And I think Uematsu will be on 'The People's Court' next week, suing himself over songs from 12-15 years ago. I saw an early preview of it and
at the conclusion, Celes and Aerith duke it out in a catfight. Gets pretty srs.

Guys AC was a movie, on DVD... you can't play it... it's not a game so it doesn't count.

DoC isn't canon because it's not a real final fantasy game. It's a shooting game. So it doesn't count. I know cause my dad works for Square and he said so. :monster:

Actually, I meant whoever was responsible for the original quote was due a beating, but I like your idea of me in a sexy blonde wig and tight uniform so we'll go with that.

Also, something that really annoys me is people who said (after his speech in AC) Cait Sith has an Irish accent. Guys, it's fucking Scottish. :aah:
