I won versus Clicky, here's a play by play. Didn't think Gliscor was speedy enough to get the drop on Vanillux, or that Skarmory would die in one hit from it. Live and learn.

Spoiler

Opening, Skarmory vs Zebstrika. Withdraw for Gliscor, takes a Flame Charge, Toxic Orb goes off. Fling Toxic Orb at Zebstrika, Clicky forgets as GLD did that Gliscor is Ground (:p) and goes for Spark. Gliscor uses Swords Dance twice and takes a few Stomps, Zebstrika faints to Acrobatics (was expecting a switch).

Next, Vanilluxe. Withdraw for Skarmory, goes down to Ice Beam. Send Gliscor back out, to my surprise he gets first hit, takes Vanilluxe to half, goes down to Ice Beam.

Send out Togekiss, Aura Sphere, Vanilluxe is down. Sends out Carracosta, Grass Knot deals a one-hit KO to finish the match.

It was a good battle, but I'm still not the patty cake champion.

Actually I didn't forget that he was ground, just that ground is immune to electric instead of weak to it. *sheepish* I was hoping to paralyze the thing and make it easier for the others to take out. Oh well, live and learn.

Clicky, Clicky, Clicky... Love, I cannot believe you didn't learn from my mistake. But, that gives us our first finalist for the tournament, our very own DrakeClawfang. Only three fights left in this thing, which are probably at least a ways off due to various connection problems and general inability to train Pokemon some of our other members had experienced.

Congrats Drake, condolences Clicky, and may the rest of this tournament kick ever more ass

lol, ah. I was expecting Gliscor and Togekiss to be slower than Vanillux, the reason it took a second to send one of them out when Skarmory took it is I was checking speed, saw them about the same, and figured I was gonna be sweeped. Fortunately I was wrong and Togekiss saved the day. Now I'm just kicking myself for withdrawing Gliscor, if I'd kept it out I could have swept you.

Lol quite possibly. However If I'd been less wary of switching, and had switched my Zebstrika out for my Carracosta or Vanillux then I might've taken that Gliscore out much faster. And then with my Zebstrika still at full strength, who knows how the rest of the battle might've gone.

Can anyone with HeartGold or SoulSilver trade me a Modest natured Rotom with Pain Split? If so, I would greatly appreciate it - Pain Split is a tutor move, and I don't have those games >;

I've been on a huge breeding kick lately, so I've done nothing but breeding random pokemon I might use.

That said, now I'm looking for a Magnemite and a very specific Bagon - does anyone have any for trade?

On that note - what is the general opinion on hacked pokes? I don't like it when people do, like, max stat and illegal moveset things, but if someone creates an egg or a level 1, unevolved pokemon that has the actual ability to exist, I don't really see a problem with them raising it from there (the long way, basically). And yes, I'm mostly of this opinion because I'd love to be able to raise stuff that is out of my reach due to mot having a specific game.

Example of illegal moveset - Moxie Salamence with Outrage (dream world ability with a move it only learns in generation 4l
Example of legal moveset - Rotom with Pain Split (HG/SS move tutor only)

Etc.

I think I can get you a Magnemite, and I know I could get you a Bagon. What was the specification for the Bagon, so I know if its doable or not?

On the hacked mons question, I'd be cool with it so long as they have legal movesets and abilities. As for requests, I'm still looking for a Stunky, Skorupi, and Spiritomb

I need a Bagon that knows Outrage and Dragon Dance and has a Naive nature 8D (Outrage is a tutor move, and DD is an egg move). No special name (except maybe to do it as "Salamence" so that it's not allcaps in White?) is needed, and I'd prefer it straight from the egg so I can do some training.

As for Stunky, Skorupi, and Spiritomb - what setup do you need for them? I have all three, and have spent a considerable amount of time (at least, in Diamond) breeding Spiritomb in particular to get just the right one, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Alright, I could easily get a Bagon with Outrage by taking a trip over to Johto, but I need to look into what else I have on that game before I can be sure about Dragon Dance. I know I have everything that could potentially father a Dragon Dance Bagon, but I think I might've moved them up to Black already so it could take a while for me to re-catch and breed everything, do the move tutoring, and move up again I'll check into it when I get home later.

As for the three I needed, no particular setup is required for them. I mostly just want them to complete my collection of Dark-types

What type specialty or theme are you looking at working with? I know you expressed interest in Normal in my spriting thread. As for Legendary Pokemon, its fine to use them provided they are not considered to be in the Uber-tier and thus banned from use. There was a list of uber-tier Pokemon somewhere back in this thread.

Speaking of types and themes, we have Dark, Ice, Fighting and Grass covered for sure at this time. Flying and Dragon are less definite, I haven't talked to Drake in quite some time and Aki was quite strapped for time last I heard, so dunno about those two. That leaves:

The only Normal-type in the Uber-tier as of Gen V seems to be Arceus, so yeah Regigigas is fine (we were letting Omega get away with Heatran so I see no harm in it). So yes, you can indeed be our Normal Master We had a whole rank setting tournament, but things pretty well went to hell with that. But I been calling myself Gym Leader Devil since this idea took root, so yeah go with it if you like
