Final Fantasy VII Remake to be a “multi-part” series
by Tetsujin December 7, 2015 0 commentsAn interesting bit of news was dropped somewhat quietly amidst the trailer hype in Square Enix’s official press release, stating that FFVII Remake is to be told across a multi-part series with each entry providing its own unique experience.
No word yet on how exactly these parts are going to be released, how much they’ll cost or how many are planned. It is certainly unexpected as it was generally assumed until this point that the Remake would be a single game.

This is why I have trust issues…-_-
You and me both, dude. I’ve been raised to not trust anything I always read up or hear, even if I know that I can be very gulliable.
I kinda read up the forums of the multi-part-series on the KH13 forums on this, and well, while I knew all along for years that FFVII would be very complicated to remake and the episode-download thing is probably for the best, they could’ve just made it on discs instead of doing like they did with FFXIII-2 and the online games FFXIV series-A Realm Reborn, Heavenward, ect.
Personally, Square would’ve been better off in creating a brand new title to the FFVII series set after Dirge of Cerberus. Though with them adding new scenes, and I’m probably wrong about this as usual, but I have a feeling that those scenes are connected to the Compilation of FFVII titles-BC, CC, DOC, and ACC, and maybe connect to the secret ending from 9 years ago.
I almost got a PS4 for this but you do raise a good point. Getting all this game on a disc or any medium would be a tall order but considering how many chapters they’d have to make, I’m afraid of the total cost they’d have to bundle everything in. SIIIGH. Also, I haven’t heard anything for the PC yet.
You can still get yourself a PS4 if you like. I didn’t mean for you not wanting to. I was only saying I think is happening or something along the lines. Plus, I knew that placing Nomura as director for the remake was a bad idea. Well, we’ll just wait and see what happens. That’s the best thing to do. Honestly, I was rather surprised that they even showed a gameplay this month. I was only expecting small written information.
Besides, you can play other games for the PS4 while you’re waiting when the game comes out. FFXV comes out next year, along with KH 2.8, or any other game that interests you.
Plus, FFVII was already ported to PC about maybe a few years ago or something. The newer port was mainly for PS4, as far as I know.
Damn it. Need more details to decide how I feel. If they announce x amount of parts and their release dates, awesome. If it’s just going to be “That was Part 1, Part 2 COMING SOON!” then no dice, Square-enix.
Also yes I want a physical copy. Discs. I know it would be unreasonably big and SUPER pricey, but I could handle that. If they were to say “Yes this game will cost £100, but it’s the full thing,” I wouldn’t think twice.
well they have said each part will be a full game so i’m guessing it will like the FFXIII Saga.
