New FFVII Remake Screenshots and Info!

by November 25, 2019 0 comments

Today, Square Enix released a bunch of new screenshots and developer interviews! Some of these contain juicy new information, and a look at some very familiar places.

Let’s get this out of the way first: Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed that work on part two has already begun! This is excellent news. Some fans were worried they’d wait and see how part one was received before they started working on part two, but this puts those fears to rest.

When you think of the Midgar final boss, you will probably think of the M.O.T.O.R, but in this game, new bosses will appear and add to the excitement of the story even more.

We’ve already begun working on the next one right now, but I’m confident that playing through this title will expand your expectations just like the world that extends beyond Midgar

Let’s take a look:

Jessie continues to look amazing in this “didn’t I tell you” pose.

Minimap confirmed!

Check out the weapons! The “Iron Blade” is new, but look, it’s the NAIL BAT!!!!

The remake’s iteration of the “sense” command materia seems to be called “Assess”.

CHOCO MOG SUMMON OMG

And of course, another iconic “please insert Disc X” image.

Have you ever seen the inside of FFVII’s church so lovingly rendered?

It’s Aerith’s house! Still looking pretty, if a bit more realistically blended with the sector 5 slums.

This looks so faithful to the original!

We can’t help but notice Aerith’s key art is missing something big – something important. Maybe they’re saving it for part 2? There are some more images – check out the official FFVII Remake Twitter for some renders of Rude and Reno, as well as additional screenshots (mostly battle shots) on this Square Enix post. They’re showing a lot of nostalgic stuff now, wonder what’s coming next? Exciting!
