That sucks we have to wait, but a couple more weeks isn’t a big deal. For those of you that used vacation, can you ask to change your time off?
Fortunately I hadn’t booked mine just yet, but I was going to this week, haha.
A couple more weeks maybe, but this is nearly 6 weeks. It also places it right before Cyberpunk 2077 which is gonna steal its thunder to a certain degree. But yeah, it’s more the 6 weeks than the stolen thunder that bothers me.
Well I won’t say this is a good sign. They set that release date far enough in the future to presumably give themselves room for any unexpected issues. That they still needed to delay it that many weeks is definitely concerning.
All we can do is hope it turns out well. It’s important to get these things right. That doesn’t prevent every delay from turning the dial on the concern meter up a level.
Yeah, I have to agree with you. The delay is galling enough in and of itself, but then you can use the old “well if this makes the game even better, it’s a good thing!” line on yourself to make it less painful. However, like you say, the fact that they *still* need to delay it to sort some things out is a bit worrying.
Also, a delay of over a month with a team this big is really quite strange. Even if they’ve just found a major game-breaking bug, it shouldn’t take that many people over a month to troubleshoot it. It sounds like it’s multiple issues.
I laughed so hard at that image. Perfect choice, haha
:mon:
As a possible silver lining, maybe this means we’ll get the demo sooner as a kind of apology, and to keep the hype train rumbling along as it needs to last a bit longer now.
