Unseen Version of Final Fantasy VII in New Square Promo Video

Square-Enix recently updated their Japanese YouTube page with old promotional videos. Among these is a video for Final Fantasy VII, which showcases a version of the game as yet unexplored. The video follows below.
As you may notice, there are a number of differences from both the demo release and final version of the game. Thanks go to forum member koolaidman for the find, and for pointing out some of the following details:
- 1:30 – No one has eyes aside from Cloud.
- 2:30 – Unused scene with alternate version of the save point.
- 3:47 – In this and every other battle, the attacks on Cloud only deal 1HP damage.
- 3:52 – The attack names are not present.
- 4:14 – Cloud’s magic animation is off-centre.
- 5:16 – An early version of “Those Chosen by the Planet”.
There also appears to be major differences in some of the textures used for monsters, as well as differences in battle formations and encounters. Spot something we didn’t? Come join the discussion here, or post your thoughts below.

Indeed. Notice also that the presence of the red-haired couple in the train cabin matches with the fact that they have unused lines there, as seen in Unused Text – Part 1. In the final game the couple leaves the cabin as soon as you enter.
Noticed that Cid and the folks from Shinra are missing from the Tiny Bronco scene.
