by November 2, 2010 0 comments

Square Enix has announced that on December 18th and 19th they will be having playable demos for both Dissidia Duodecim 012 and the new Parasite Eve game 3rd Birthday as part of their offerings at Jump Festa 2010. This will also be in addition to the standard Closed Mega Theater they have also become known for.

Staff member Hitoshura has been kind enough to translate the page from the Jump Festa Web site:

Play the demo of “Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy”!

Popular characters from the Final Fantasy series join forces for an epic battle to the death in this fantasy action game! Be one of the first to play it at the show.

Try out “The 3rd Birthday”!!

Time is spiralling backwards in this trilling gun action game! Sample one of the missions to save the future of humanity at the show.

The Mega-Theatre & latest games await!

Be sure to check out the Mega-Theatre for the latest videos from some of the hottest games.

Thanks to Hitoshura for pointing this out! 🙂

I don’t suppose it’ll be far off, considering that they already finished the american voice recording during the summer.

Hopefully a few days/weeks after Jump Festa they’ll release a demo of Dissidia Duodecim (Not Dissidia Duodecim Prologus, the NA/EU version) on the Japanese PSN Store. The reason why I said to disclude the NA/EU demos at the moment is so that when new characters are confirmed, the NA/EU demos MAY get those characters in them. Also, it’s because I have an account on the Japanese PSN Store. I read somewhere that they plan on releasing a demo (unconfirmed region) in a months time. It doesn’t take rocket science to figure out that it MAY be a Japanese Demo. I’ve been dying to try out Lightning, mainly her Healer role, for some reason. The Assist System has also made me excited about a demo release, which, with demos, I don’t get too excited about.

But for god sake SE, please make sure that Sazh (mostly likely not gonna happen) gets in. I just love everything about him. He’d be the first black man (not trying to be racist) in a Dissidia Game. I will be sure to pre-order both a Japanese copy and a European copy (Japanese copy first, and also a European copy because I’m British) for this game. Even if it does turn out crap, I will enjoy Quick Battling as Kain and Lightning. To be honest, as much as I love Tifa being in the game, and I’m prepared to admit I love the idea of pressing X, canceling a current attack and going behind enemy and being able to attack again, her battle style didn’t really drag me in.

    That’s all from me.
