Dissidia Rumors Fly from Jump Festa

The Jump Festa event took place in Japan this past weekend from which several game announcements often come. Perhaps even more common are people struggling to get a look at Square Enix’s trailers which are always rather exclusive.

There’s still no sign of the Dissidia 012 trailer as yet, but that hasn’t stopped the rumors – from release dates to Cid Raines (especially dubious). Yuna is another commonly rumored new character. New levels for Final Fantasy VI and IX have also been mentioned. I, personally, would like that as I didn’t much enjoy the Magitek room level. A release date of March 3, 2011 has been announced for Japan apparently. And the 23rd and 25th are rumored to be the release dates for North America and Europe, respectively.

The upcoming issue of Famitsu is said to include an interview with Tetsuya Nomura talking about the game (as well as even more character reveals, including some old school ones. It would also appear that the story mode should take ~60 hours to complete

None of this is especially concrete yet, but we thought we’d keep you abreast of the news that’s flying around. Stick around to see when confirmation trickles in. In the meantime, enjoy some of the character banter from the starts of a battle after the break.
