Final Trailer, Characters, Message, and DLC, have been updated on the official Japanese site.

We have Firion and The Emperor as new additions to the Character section, Warrior of Light, Garland, and Kain all receive their 3rd outfits.

Yes the two cards are very small, it seems they’ve reduced the size of all the cards, though I don’t know why. Instead of 266×370 they’re now 133×185. Sucks for those who were trying to complete any type of collection with the cards… now you’ve got to deal with smaller, not as nice quality ones. 🙁

Again, OMFG Warrior of Light and all those classic outfits are AWESOME!! Especially the Kain one (can’t help but think that his art is so similar to Chaos in Amano’s original concept art for FF1) – these are all so accurate! I’m still really curious as to how and in what form and when all of this DLC will be available and until when..
so does that mean we only have a total of 8 new playable characters? Or are they planning to announce other additions in the future?
Rather stupid of SE not to just make Aerith a playable character…not a fan of the flower girl but if SE put that much work into simply making her an assist character why not go all the way and make her fully playable?
Aerith was made as an assist because she doesn’t have an offensive moveset but her support abilities make her an invaluable assist. From what I’ve heard, SE is now considering adding other characters as assist only to the DLC in the future, Aerith was just the most in demand on the Japanese polls. That and if they made her fully playable they’d get accused of favouring FFVII again.
Turns out that Lightning’s 3rd costume has been revealed too on the sight.

I have tried to find the CG renders from the website but no luck. Were all the others already posted here? 🙁
I wish they will make 4 more characters so the total number of new character will be 12. That would be awesome. Why they do not include Celes in FF6, Auron in FF10, Beatrix in FF 9 and Fang in FF13.
TOTALLY. AGREE. I would be fine with Vivi or Locke as well.
The site has been updated again with the historical compendium now going up to IX. I guess it’ll be mostly compendium updates for the next 4 weeks with Prishe and Gilgamesh being added to the site after Famitsu or Shonen Jump features them. Anyone have any idea as to when that might be?
