A Bridge too Far share some superficial similarities with Extra Mission #28 “Cyclopean Causeway”. In both you have to navigate through the basement corridors of the Bridge map in order to reach the goal point on the other side. However the online missions started you out inside the basement and had you travel to the northernmost point, while the Extra Mission starts you at the northern edge with the goal of you traversing to the southernmost point.
The mission title appears to be an intentional reference to the classic book/movie with the same name.

Typically, “MIA” will be an abbreviation for “Missing In Action”. The intended meaning for this mission is unknown, as it doesn’t seem to involve a person being lost. Much Insect Action?
MIA had you collect a variety of “Memos” by defeating different types of enemies. Might these “Memos” be what the mission title’s abbreviation is actually referring to? A memo would be dropped by the first of a given enemy type do die when you exploded the three grouped drum cans in their vicinity. Here are the available memos and the corresponding enemies that dropped them.

D-1 is another mission where the meaning of the title is unknown to us. The title does not match any of the coordinates in which the MS took place.
With magic and gun fire being prohibited, melee attacks was the way to go. It was recommended to equip the Speed Suit so that one might easier evade enemy attacks.
The DCFFVII Wiki write the time limit as 3 minutes while the FFSG write it as 5 minutes.

As you cleared each area of Bizarre Bugs, the barricades would deactivate and allow you to move forward to the next batch of insects. Three of Nero’s Dark were waiting for you at the end when all Bizarre Bugs had been eradicated.
One wonders who this researcher mentioned in the MS description was. Is it Ljungbery who became bent on revenge after all the misery he had seen? Or was it somebody entirely different, perhaps not even any of the NPCs you could meet and talk to?

The first part of Scene 9 “Power of the Transparent” had Officer-East assign the mission “Active Jamming” to the player. After clearing the MS, the rest of Scene 9 would play out and you’d get to see Shelke perform the repairs on Patricia as well as witness Shelke’s true combat abilities.
FFSG write the reward as +30 RP but Michui’s blog write it as +50 Ranking Points. Cyber Turks and saucers acted as your obstacles until you reached the Black Widow at the end.
The eighth memory capsule was found here in coordinate M-6. We possess no screenshot to pinpoint its location more exactly.
Destroying the capsule unlocked Scene 8 “Come Play Sometimes” to the Event Viewer.

Translator’s notes:
The title appears to be a case of a multi-layered and rather complex wordplay. 色即是空 is an expression that means something like “form is emptiness”, or “all is vanity”, but the final kanji in this changed to 式 which means form. 式 is also used in 無式のシェルク, an alternate name for Shelke the Transparent which in itself is also a pun. 無式 is pronounced the same as 無色 [colourless] but carries a meaning similar to expressionless (a nod to Shelke’s personality). In other words, this mission title is essentially a pun based on a pun. “Form is Transparent” is not a direct translation per se, but I felt it carried a similar connotation while retaining the nod to Shelke’s title.
