Confirmation of one’s site’s existence from the creators of the series is probably the biggest flattery any site could ever get.
Next to exclusive previews to upcoming stuff, of course, =p.

Again, I doubt that Square HQ in Japan even knows about this digital magazine business in the EU Square site. So it’s not strictly the “creators” of the series that has acknowledged our existence. EU Square’s influence probably does not go beyond dubbing and translations.
Even so, this is still awesome news. Any recognition is better than no recognition.
