After Crisis: Where The Cast Of Advent Children Are Ten Years Later

Title

[Insert Reunion Pun Here]

But seriously, it has been ten years since Final Fantasy VII received its theatrical counterpart (speaking figuratively of course, as it was a direct-to-DVD film).  While some appreciated it for being the Final Fantasy movie that Final Fantasy: Spirits Within wasn’t, others called it Matrix-wannabe with over-the-top action and an incomprehensible story line, even to those who played the game.  Whatever side of the fence you were on, it is impossible to argue the impact that the film had on the franchise, for better or worse.

One of the best things was finally hearing our beloved characters given a voice, even if it’s not exactly what we were expecting (Cait Sith was supposed to be Scottish? At the time, I had no idea!) And without the incredible voice talent of these veterans from TV, anime, and video games, this would not be possible.

Well that was the main adult cast of Advent Children.  But let’s not forget one of the most important things about the film:  The Children.  As most of these actors were young children at the time of filming their careers aren’t as fleshed out as their adult peers, but let’s take a real quick look at the two leading youngsters and see what they’ve been up to!

I wish these guys would return for the remake and more future FFVII titles(voice actors of Cloud, Tifa, Reno, Vincent and Rufus, both in Japanese and in English), and I gotta hand it, some of the male actors are cute-mostly Cloud’s voice actors, Reno’s voice actors, even Rufus’s voice actors and Vincent’s voice actors. Tifa’s and Aerith’s voice actresses are beautiful too.

Not too sure on that one. No one can predict the future, after all. So far, Cloud didn’t have a replacement yet, considering how he returned to voice Cloud in the second remake of KH: Coded in KH 2.5 HD ReMix, and I know that Quintion Flynn wants to voice Reno again as he said on his twitter account.

I’m not 100% sure on Vincent, but I think Sephiroth’s voice actor from the film will return to voice him again. Aerith had like three different voice actresses, so who knows about her. Wish her voice actress from the film would return.

I certainly know that Paul Eiding or whatever his last name is absolutely hated voicing Hojo, and, well, personally I don’t blame the poor guy. Hojo is one of the worst villians in history, and I never liked him to begin with. He’s annoying plus. So, I think Paul’s out of the picture and they’ll find a replacement for him. Plus, with Leonard Nimory gone(R.I.P, sir Leonard Nimory), Xehanort from Kingdom Hearts will have to have a replacement in both Japanese and in English, so it’s fair that a character that is well into their old age should have replacements.

For everyone else, I want all of the actors from the film to return…well, except for those who voiced Denzel and Marlene since they’re too old, so, that’s understandable on how children characters in any animated films or series always need a replacement if their actors are actual children themselves.
