A Fan’s Eye View: Advent Children Complete Commentary Track
by Ryushikaze December 9, 2010 0 commentsOverall saccharine content is considerably less than this image would suggest
Tis the season folks. No, not that silly stuff with the trees and the lights and the what have you, but the season of FF7! Today marks the beginning of the story of Final Fantasy 7. It started on December 9th, and lasted until the sometime near the end of January. Don’t believe me? Check out our FF7 timeline, it’ll set you straight.
So, to commemorate the season, Tennyo, Forcestealer, and myself, Ryushikaze, naturally decided to ignore the game entirely and skip two years into the future for Advent Children Complete!
That’s right, we’ve recorded a full length audio commentary track for Advent Children Complete. This two hour treat is ready and waiting for download. Everything from philosophy, to continuity shout outs to just plain nonsense can be found in this commentary for the low low price of free.
So what are you waiting for? Download the commentary, load it up, and get ready to enjoy Advent Children Complete in a whole new way.
It won’t hurt. We swear.

I loved the commentary, guys. <3 I'll try showing it to other people too. BD
Henceforth I shall no longer celebrate Christmas, but instead the Reunion. =)
π
Great job! That was a lot of fun! Tennyo, I love awkward, adorable Cloud too! But Force! I love bad ass Cloud also! All in all, awesome commentary π
Btw, I find it very brave of you all to lend your voices to these great commentary tracks. I would be way too self-conscious of my voice to even audition, not to mention that my Swedish accent would break through. Great job everyone.
Oh I’m plenty self-conscious. Especially after my voice was mixed so loud and obnoxious in the track π
But as long as you can talk to the people you’re recording with, its pretty easy. (also makes it easy to drift off topic too, lol)
I had to make you loud to make you audible over Tenny. Obnoxious I had nothing to do with.
Also, now that you’ve made an accent joke, I think we’re required by law to needle Tenny for her midwestern twang.
You’re just jealous that you’re can’t be from Minnesota, too! π
Is it a funny commentary? MY MEGABYTES.
Your megabytes are well spent, my friend. Much amusement is to be had.
What is said at the end of the credits? The version I watched has it said in Japanese.
Den: Is this… someone’s grave?
Clo: No, this is where a hero began his journey.
Roughly paraphrased, anyways.
This should be named as the RiffTrax of FFACC. XD
I’m listening to it right now!
Really funny commentary track you guys ! I love this.
Will there be another one ?
P/S : i still don’t know why people thought that Tifa’s face at the end look like ” i want you so bad Cloud ” XD i thought it was really cuteeeeeeee, nothing more.
I thought she said “Told ya it’d turn out okay!”, so I’m with you.
We are pure minds, it seems (<– yeah, riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight…)
lol yeah, me too XD
Oh, and a tiny complaint… I had a hard time trying to adjust the movie and your audio, so maybe you’d like to include someone saying the lines along with the characters from time to time (say, every 10 mins), so we can make it synchronized?
Thank you again! π
There were a few synch points near the start, and none of the test listeners noticed any desynchs.
Plus, it’s hard for us to remember, in the thick of things. I’ll keep it in mind, but no promises.
Nathan Lane is the voice of Timon, Quinton Flynn is Reno. Besides from that, nice work!
Sorry, he was Timon on the Timon and Pumbaa TV series. I just assumed that applied to the movie as well. My mistake, but that’s why I said that.
Just in case this isn’t just happening to me…
I’m having some trouble with the download. I click on the link, and the page I’m taken to can’t be displayed by Internet Explorer. Again, I don’t know if it’s just my computer that’s having an issue or if it’s a bigger glitch of some sort which came into effect very, very recently, so I thought I’d make it known.
Have you tried right clicking and saving as, Oreremar? The link goes directly to the file, which might be why IE is having trouble.
Yes – that did it! Thank you for the tip.
the topic is about the game, sometimes you stray away from the topic. a thing i didn’t like. but thanks for that effort of giving us something like this.
Well, it is a two hour movie, and our commentary is entirely off the cuff.
Plus, it could be worse. We could have had ‘I like’ every three seconds.
Which would have been hilarious.
