3D printing is perfect for models with low polygon counts. Joabaldwin proves this with these precise recreations of the main cast from Final Fantasy VII.
Gorgeous work, though the lack of Heidegger and the Turks is a grievous oversight. Shots from different angles are below. Careful with that sword, Sephiroth.
The models are available to buy here.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Limited Edition Announced (via Playstation Lifestyle)
Luke Icenhower, Marketing Coordinator at Square Enix, answered a few questions on the PS Blog today, assuring someone that the “Vita versions are still coming” and more information, such as a release date, will be announced “very soon.”
A limited edition pre-order bonus was also announced. Not costing you anything past the $39.99 of the PS3 version (no bonuses announced for the Vita version), the Limited Edition includes a 24-page art book that shows off some early PS2 concept art, along with some commentary from the original Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 development teams, as well as a special message from Yoshinori Kitase, Producer.
Thanks to Captain Highwind for the heads up.

A PC Version of Final Fantasy XV is a Possibility (via IncGamer)
Talking to Famitsu magazine, Tetsuya Nomura – the director of The Game Formerly Known As Final Fantasy Versus XIII and now called Final Fantasy XV – explained that a PC version is a possibility.
As is becoming more and more common (Metal Gear Solid, I’m looking at you) the game itself is actually being developed on a PC and is being ported across to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 from there. “Previously we proceeded with development based on the capabilities of consoles like the PS3,” explained Nomura. “Now, though, we’re developing on DirectX 11, not based on the PS4 or the Xbox One.”
When asked if this means that a PC version is possible, Nomura responded honestly but fairly positively. “This isn’t something we’ve really discussed, but it depends on the demand. Currently it’d require a pretty expensive PC, but if we get a lot of people in the future who want to play it with full specs, I think we can discuss supporting that.”
Square Enix explains why Final Fantasy XIV isn’t coming to XBox (via Gameranx)
Director Naoki Yoshida explained the reason to RPGSite. Microsoft does not allow games carried on Xbox Live to share servers with other platforms meaning that if the game were to come to Xbox 360 that console’s owners wouldn’t be able to play with PS3 or PS4 players and Yoshida takes issue with this.
“The policy has not changed on Microsoft side,” he said. “The main reason from our side is that I don’t want the community to be divided; to be split into two or more. For example, one players might be on the PC version, another might be on the PS4 version, and I’m playing the Xbox version – but we’re not able to join the same game servers. I just don’t like the idea. I disagree with it.
“To be frankly honest with you, there are now so many mobile devices, smart phones, everything – why would you ever just stick to one platform from the hardware aspect? [Why not] Just make it open to everyone? That’s my opinion.
