Final Fantasy VII 10th Anniversary Ultimania Returns

by March 6, 2009 0 comments

You heard right folks.

The Final Fantasy VII 10th Anniversary Ultimania is coming back, revised in honor of Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete’s release. It’ll not only be redone but also enlarged with even more information on the world of FFVII. It will be released April 16, 2009 and you can bet we’ll be posting translations from that as well.

Also on April 16th, the “FINAL FANTASY VII ADVENT CHILDREN COMPLETE POST CARD BOOK” will be released, and it will be priced at 1,260 yen.

Edit: Thanks to hitoshura for the slight correction on the Ultimania being released on its own, sans the potion. And here I was, looking forward to getting the drink too….

Well, since the original 10th Anniversary Ultimania didin’t cover the events of Crisis Core, maybe they’ll add some CC stuff.

I wonder if there’s going to be a Reunion Files II to Advent Children Complete after this…

Let’s see if they’re gonna re-include The Maiden who Travels the Plannet, or finally exclude this forever from the Compilation.

I think the fact Crisis Core completely contradicts some of the main facts in that story, shows it can’t be reconciled. They’ve already turned their backs on it.

Personally I agree with you. I didn’t like Maiden, for me it was a poor writen material, much more a fanmade stuff rather than a professional one (in fact it was not written by a FF VII staff member). The first 10th anniversary ultimania excluded it from the compilation, and I hope it remains excluded!

It doesn’t seem to be another Potion rerelease, but a standalone release for the revised Ultimania.

I think it’ll include more detail for CC, ACC and OTWTAS. It also includes an interview with Takahiro Sakurai, the Japanese VA for Cloud.

      Ah okay, I’ll fix that!

But that’s good because that’ll make getting the Ultimania even easier, since Amazon.jp doesn’t ship beverages out of the states. The fuckers. XD

Well milking or otherwise, I never got the first one and since I wouldn’t have to actually import it now, I’ll probably get it. Just glad I saw this before I bought the old one 😛
hito, did the old one have furigana?

No, there’s no furigana in it. I don’t think many, if any, of the Ultimanias have it.

Okay, the Dissidia Destiny Heroes Guide did, which is why I asked.

That was a V-Jump book, wasn’t it? V-Jump’s will usually have it, but Studio Bent Stuff (the makers of the Ultimanias) don’t.

Well damn. It’s not like I can’t get translations here of course, but still…

So that’s about $12.60, right? Not too bad, unless you consider that it’s a book of funny meaningless symbols for anyone who doesn’t understand Japanese. =( You’d think with all their rereleasing in order to get money, they might print it in English too and sell a few more.

Although, considering I’ve spent more money on doujinshi that I can’t read either, and that I’m living at home again now, I may just get it anyway…

Aww why the Shinra Logo? I liked the logo that had Seph, Zack, and Cloud in it. :/

Next we’ll be seeing an Advent Children Complete: Completed come out. They’ll never stop marketing Final Fantasy VII.

Which, is fine by me. :monster:

Не понимаю причину такого ажиотажа. Ничего нового и мнения разные.
